Pre-Summer Contest!
... so that just happens to work out great for a first contest, don't ya think? Here goes-First place winner will receive 1 copy of the pattern along with 4 hanks of Blue Sky Dyed Cotton in their choice of colors! Second & third place winners will each receive a copy of the pattern and whatever other goodies happen to jump into the package just before sealing and sending...
The warmer weather has moved in, even here in Minnesota, and I will be casting on a tank of my own very soon- maybe 2 as I can't seem to decide which color to do!
Okay, so here are the contest rules- all you have to do is:
1.) Leave a comment on this post letting me know what color you want and mention who's blog you heard about the contest on (if you jumped from a blog and if you can remember...)
2.) Then head to your blog and post a list of your summer knitting goals (there may be an end-of-summer contest of some sort to celebrate summer knitting accomplishments...) and mention this contest (with a link to this post- http://www.skeinsherway.com/2007/05/pre-summer-contest.html)
3.) Lastly e-mail me with the link to your post! (ali AT skeins her way DOT com) Be sure to mention in your post for anyone who follows your link to let me know what blog they jumped from as every 'referral' will earn you another entry!
Contest will run through the end of the month (May) and my talented children will draw three winning names (or secret blogging identities) out of a container of some sort on June 1st.
Think about your summer knitting, make your lists, and get blogging!
Happy knitting,
ali

Hey, you should donate something for the podcast rumble I am doing! Think about it and let me know! Email me and I can give you better details :-)
I'm in, too! What fun! It'll be really good for me to state out loud my summer knitting goals. There are a few ones floating around, but I really should formalize the list. I just went over to kpixie to remind myself of the blue sky cotton colors. I like greens like Pickle and Fern. I also like neutrals like Expresso, Toffee and Stone. As for brights, Tomato and Pumpkin are up my ally, Ali. :)
Great contest idea, Ali!
Color? Pickle, yum. I think I'll go get my summer knitting ducks in a row!
I'm in! I was going to post a list soon anyway. This is good motivation. :) Should I win - I never win, but just in case, I'd like thistle.
Count me in!!!! Although I am somewhat on the dysfunctional side and will have to really try hard to meet my goals. And as for colors suggestions.... greens, blues, berries. I would be so excited to win that just any old color would do!
I'm in... too simple of a contest not to join! I really like the "shrimp" pink colour.
OK, off to post! http://gradschoolknitter.blogspot.com
i have a few tanks i would like to make. in cotton. but my primary project will be a lace shawl for my daughter's bat mitzvah in october.
What a great contest idea!
Gives me a reason to stick to my goals ;)
As for colours, I'd love fern. Looks so lovely!
Ooh, I'm in, too. I like pickle! This will be a good way of organizing what I want to knit.
ali,
I'm not sure if you got my first comment, so here's Take 2:
The color of yarn I would like is lemonade. This will help me plan out my goals!
I'm all in for such a great contest!!.. I followed the link from dysfunctional knitter and voila here I am.
My color is BLUEEEEE!!!

I love the fitted tank! I don't know how I have missed that pattern because it would fit my body type really well...anyhoo...I'd like to knit it up in Thistle. And I'll be posting my summer knitting goals tomorrow a.m. Thanks!
I followed the link from Heather at Yarn Yenta. I think this is a great pattern and even better idea. I hadn't even thought about planning out my summer knitting. I LOVE it!!! If I win, I would like pumpkin. Thank you for doing this!

I would like blue or purple. This is a great idea!
YAY!!!Great contest, very well thought out.. kind of funny as I am right now knitting my very first Blue Sky Pattern he Cropped Cardi. Your pattern is awesome! There are so many great colors to choose from ummmmm....if I have to pick one #1 lemongrass- but I also think it would be cool to do that long ribbing in orchid and the burst out into lotus on top!

Amanda/clothesknit has posted her goals and I'm here because she referred me. She really wants to win!
I'm here via Amanda at clothesknit. She really deserves to win (did that score her an extra entry?)
What a fun idea!
I'd like the yarn in tomato :)
count me in! I came by way of Clothesknit.
I'd love to make the tank in indigo- it's beautiful! I will post my goals this afternoon!
I followed the link from Clothesknit.
I have to admit, I think this contest sounds kind of difficult to me. But, as long as everybody's enjoying it and I don't have to count ALL the links and entries ;-)
It was nice to find your blog and I was following a link from Amanda at clothesknit She so deserves to win! ;-)
Hate to do this to you, but you're tagged. See my blog.;)
Hey there! Nice pattern! Amanda from clothesknit sent me here, I hope she gets many entries!
Beautiful tank...I am here in support of clothesknit...whoo!
Great contest found out about it from shelby knits. If I was to win i would love the carribbean colourway. So summery.
Cool contest! And I love your tank pattern. If I were to win I'd love the pickle color : )
What a fun contest idea! I came here from Amanda's blog (clothesknit), and while I don't stand a chance of winning, I think that tank would look fabulous in any color, but I would knit it in blue!

Hi there. What a great contest.
I made my way via Amanda's Blog Clothesknit also.
I recommend Blue Sky's Berry color - can't remember the name - but it is gorgeous in person.

It's a lovely pattern and as for the colours - wow! so hard to choose just one, they are wonderful....but I think I have to go with Caribbean.
